Police investigators arrived before the guests were allowed to leave.
They searched Victoria's handbag.
Inside was another unopened packet containing the same white powder.
Victoria immediately protested.
"Someone planted that!"
No one answered.

"I wasn't trying to destroy you."

The promise was never honored.
Her family's fortune collapsed.
Her father died bankrupt.
Victoria spent years believing Richard had stolen everything.
She convinced herself revenge was justice.
